Of Bulls and Bloodlines | Desmós
Returning to Greece after my father’s passing, this work reflects on the deep bonds between us, our shared lineage, and the pull of ancestral land. Through the symbolism of two bulls, the piece explores the experience of diaspora - the distance, the longing, and the embodied memories carried across oceans. Materiality becomes a conduit for grief, belonging, and the visceral ties that persist beyond place and beyond death.
Dedicated to my father, Stylianos, this work holds the space where loss and connection continue to meet.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT
Thank you to the wonderful team at Eutopia Art Residency and Theodorou Art Studio who allowed me to come into their studio and taught me so much about ceramics.
Maro, Zozo and Efi are so incredibly welcoming and generous with their sharing of knowledge and culture - it truly was one of the most fulfilling artist residencies I have had the pleasure of being a part of.
